Great Minds Nursery, established in February 2014, reflects the vision and passion of Areti Panagiotou, the nursery's manager. Areti's journey into the field of education was inspired by her early experiences, where she assisted her mother in a KG classroom during her primary school years. This initial fascination with education propelled her to pursue a BA degree in Early Years education. Subsequently, she furthered her education by completing a postgraduate course and earning an MSc in Speech and Language therapy at City University of London, U.K. Areti's career took her to the United Kingdom, where she worked as a Speech and Language Therapist, and to Greece, where she served as an Early Years Teacher. With her qualifications as a Montessori-trained teacher, Areti aimed to combine her diverse expertise to establish a unique nursery setting in Dubai. Supported by her family and drawing from her extensive experience of over 8 years working with special needs children at the Dubai Centre for Special Needs, Areti believed the time was ripe to extend her knowledge and expertise to help children reach their fullest potential. This ambition gave rise to the concept of Great Minds Nursery. Located behind Box Park, adjacent to City Walk, Great Minds Nursery adopts the Montessori approach to foster children's social, cognitive, and physical development. The nursery places a strong emphasis on child-centered principles while respecting each child's individual personality. Its overarching goal is to create a joyful and secure environment that nurtures the natural growth of children, aligning with their inherent sensitive periods of development. The vision of Great Minds Nursery is to witness children evolve into happy, confident, and intellectually capable individuals. It epitomizes the idea that within these little people lie great minds.
