UAE is committed to improving education in the government schools

The minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, has urged Emiratis to enroll their kids in public schools. He reaffirmed his complete faith in the caliber of the UAE educational system in a speech at a conference addressing 500 senior officials. He also disclosed that he sends his own children to a public school. He said “What I do not accept for my children’s education I will not accept for the education of the people of the UAE”

The UAE is currently revamping its education system, with a focus on primary education. This year in May, the UAE stated that the Ministry of Education would be reorganized, with new ministers appointed to enhance education at all levels.  They were tasked with laying out structural changes for the entire system, with a stronger emphasis on enhancing public schools and early childhood development. They unveiled a proposal to revamp government-run schools in June, including funding for instructors and increasing parental engagement in how kids are taught. The ministers promised a stronger emphasis on math and science instruction with English as a medium of instruction, beginning at a young age. The ultimate goal of the improvements, according to Sarah Al Amiri, Minister of State for Public Education and Future Technology, is that they benefit every student in public schools across the nation.

In late November 2022, President Sheikh Mohamed stated earlier that the UAE continues to place a high premium on education during meetings with senior officials. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, revealed that the sessions had mapped out a clear plan for the future of education in Dubai. The Prime Minister also said that with the help of a specialized government team, an active and engaging educational environment, and a society of parents who contribute to raising a generation that takes them to new future frontiers, education will continue to be a priority in line with the country's president's vision.
