Extracurricular Activities

Music encourages self- discipline and diligence, traits that carry over into intellectual pursuits and that leads to effective study and work habits. Creating and performing music promotes self- expression and provides self- gratification while giving pleasure to others. For all these reasons, it deserves strong support in our educational system.

The music department at S.P.S. aims to develop the full range of students’ musical abilities and interests.

Arts education is important to every student’s development.

An education in the arts teaches students to perceive and think in new ways.

Creativity, reasoning, imagination, dexterity and intuition are developed as students learn to build bridges between verbal and non-verbal communication, logic and emotion.

The art activities at S.P.S help our students:

  • Develop a lifelong enjoyment of the arts
  • Become informed and effective in the arts
  • Explore and value the diversity of arts

Not all learning takes place in the classroom. At the St. Peter’s American School, we believe that incorporating comprehensive out – of – doors experiences is an essential component of an enriched, balanced and complete educational experience.

To complement our educational program, students take part in day trips to places such as: The Egyptian Museum, The opera, Alexandria library, Pharaonic Village . . . etc.

Scientific field studies, cooperative games and moments of solitude are all part of a larger plan to expose our students to learning outside the classroom walls.

At St. Peter’s we believe in the concept of a healthy mind in a healthy body, and try to ensure that all our students take part in physical education. Throughout our gymnasium room, playground & famous sports club.
Students at our school are able to participate in soccer, swimming, tennis, table tennis, basketball and volleyball.
