About

The Japanese School in Dubai was established with the primary objective of meeting the educational needs of Japanese expatriate families residing in the UAE. The school maintains a strong focus on delivering a traditional curriculum and cultural environment to its students, ensuring they stay connected to their Japanese heritage while abroad. The school's mission is to provide Japanese students residing in Dubai and the UAE Northern regions with the highest standard of academic excellence, enabling them to become valuable contributors to a diverse and multicultural society. Additionally, the school aims to prepare students for a seamless transition back to the Japanese education system when they return to Japan. Throughout its existence, the Japanese School has been dedicated to fostering mutual respect among all members of its learning community, including students, teachers, parents, and administrators. The institution strives for balanced growth in knowledge, virtue, and health, creating a conducive and enriched learning environment for its students. Currently, the school caters to approximately 120 students, with 22 teachers predominantly from Japan. The staff-to-student ratio of 1:6 is commendable and reflects the school's commitment to individualized attention and support for students. While the staff turnover rate may appear higher than the Dubai average, it is largely due to the policy of regular rotation for staff appointed from the Ministry of Education in Japan. Situated in Al Wasl, the Japanese School provides private education for boys and girls from Primary to Junior High, catering to students aged six to 15 years.

School is upto Secondary School (IX-X) and affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The School is a Coed Day School, with classes from KG 1 to X. It is an English Medium school.
