About

Indian School Nizwa was founded in 1990 as an English-medium, co-educational institution adhering to the CBSE curriculum. The establishment of this school fulfilled the long-standing desire of a community residing far from their homeland to provide their children with quality education. The school is under the governance of a Managing Committee and a Board of Directors, appointed by His Excellency, the Ambassador of India. The dedicated efforts of the community bore fruit on September 5, 2011, when the school successfully relocated to a larger campus in Thymsa, equipped with all the necessary amenities. In its early days, the school had only a handful of students in 1990, but it has since flourished and expanded to accommodate over 1500 students. Notably, the institution has not only made remarkable strides in academics and various extracurricular domains over the years but has also established a strong presence within the expatriate Indian community.

School is upto Secondary School (IX-X) and affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The School is a Coed Day School, with classes from KG 1 to X. It is an English Medium school.
