Extracurricular Activities

Students are given regular opportunities throughout the school week to engage in clubs. These range from a wide variety of sports, games, handicrafts, arts, languages and social activities. Club choices are changed every eight weeks to ensure that students get to experience a range of different experiences.

All off-site activities must serve an educational purpose that is clearly related to the curriculum. The school director will nominate an educational visits group leader to be responsible for the overall control of these activities. The group leader will assist with the coordination of the trip in terms of logistics but does not replace the need for the supervising teacher to conduct their own site assessment.

Evolution is rightly proud of its visual and performing arts departments. In primary, students have regular classes in visual art, music and drama. In secondary this develops into a performing arts programme where students work on multimedia projects that incorporate elements of drama, dance, mime, music and technology. Students have opportunities to learn drums, guitar, keyboard, synthesizers and singing as well as using tech equipment for audio and visual. Performances are highly charged, with students exhibiting great confidence, team work and coordination.
