About
Abu Dhabi International School (AIS) is a private, coeducational K–12 school licensed by the United Arab Emirates Ministry of Education. It was founded in 1992 by Mrs. Jihan Nasr, who has remained dedicated to her mission of: "Supporting all students in achieving their full potential in personal development and active citizenship by providing the foundation for lifelong learning through quality education." AIS Abu Dhabi City Campus was established in 1992, while the AIS MBZ City Campus opened its doors in 2015. The school boasts an international community consisting of students and staff members hailing from over 70 different nationalities. As of September 2020, the total enrollment across AIS schools reached 3,500 students. Remarkably, the school allocates 5% of its student body to special needs students facing learning difficulties and disabilities. Despite the diversity within its community, AIS is renowned for fostering a familial atmosphere. Students, parents, and staff members—the AIS family—share a strong commitment to preserving a nurturing learning environment, a collaborative workspace, and a culture of tolerance. They firmly believe that through robust home-school partnerships, children can accomplish the seemingly unattainable.
School is upto Secondary School (IX-X) and affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The School is a Coed Day School, with classes from KG 1 to X. It is an English Medium school.
