Welcome to their kindergarten. This kindergarten caters to children aged 18 months to 6 years old. The educational approach is based on the U.K. curriculum, and the school year spans from September to June. In the prenursery classes (18 months to 3 years), the focus is on play and physical activity. For many children, this marks their first separation from parents and their initial exposure to a group of peers. Throughout the year, they gradually develop independence, learn to share, and engage in positive interactions with others. Upon progressing to the nursery classes (3-4 years), children begin to acquire foundational skills such as number recognition and basic phonics. They also explore their creativity through activities like drawing, storytelling, and role-playing. This stage encourages their emerging independence and imagination. Transitioning to the reception classes (4-5 years) prepares children for primary school. Here, they delve into reading and writing sentences and tackle elementary math problems. They even engage in discussions, exploring topics like the pros and cons of ice cream! Parents are actively encouraged to participate in workshops regularly, providing guidance on innovative learning approaches and how they can support their child's development at home. Children have the opportunity to learn Arabic on a daily basis, and optional Quran or French classes are available twice a week during school hours. For students whose primary language is not English, a dedicated learning support teacher is on hand to provide assistance. The school maintains a nurse on-site, and communication with parents is facilitated through email, SMS, apps, and regular face-to-face meetings. Despite significant growth in recent years, the school maintains a close-knit community ethos, always exploring new and enjoyable ways for children to learn and grow.
